49ers clip the Cardinals, Giants sign South Korean Slugger, Warriors Lineup Shake Up.

Updated: Dec 27, 2023

49ers Beat: The NFL has announced that Levi’s Stadium will host the Super Bowl in 2026!

Add to that good news is after a tight first half, San Francisco pulled away with a 45-29 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Arizona, being the first to clinch a playoff spot in the NFL. QB Brock Purdy was his usual efficient self, 16-25 for 242 yards, throwing 4 touchdowns, while Christian McCaffery (CMC) had 3 touchdowns and 187 total yards running and receiving, as the Niners offense controlled the ball in the 2nd half for the win! Moony Ward also had 2 INT’s, one for a pick six!  The 49ers next face off against the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas for Monday Night football (MNF) in what could be a preview of the Super Bowl in February 2024!

Giants Beat: The San Francisco Giants finally made a move in the offseason, signing South Korean slugger Jung Hoo Lee to a six year, $113 million dollar contract to play centerfield and bat leadoff for the team. At his introductory Giants press conference, he introduced himself by his nickname, “Grandson of the Wind”, as his dad is known in South Korea baseball as “Son of the Wind”; this suggests that besides having great skills with the bat, he is also a speedster on the base paths! Shortly thereafter, the NBA announced an indefinite suspension on Dray; meaning his return to the team is anyone’s guess. Green has agreed with the Warriors and the NBA to conditions upon his return, part of which includes counseling. In the meantime, the Dubs have been on a rocky losing streak, and find themselves under .500 as of this writing. It’s next man up now for the Warriors if they have any hope of being contenders in the NBA West.
