What an interesting week! Highs and lows in the sports world. Golf: An absolutely wonderful moment of pure joy when Northern Ireland golfer Rory Mcllroy, after 17 tries, finally won The Masters in Augusta, Georgia. With that win, Rory now becomes only the sixth golfer in HISTORY to win golf's equivalent of a Grand Slam! So much emotion poured out of Rory as it took one extra hole in the playoff for him to make history! Golden State Warriors: Well, they won in Portland on Friday night, and played an intense final regular game of the season against the LA Clippers, who they have not beaten in this current season. A win, and they get a week off. Alas, it came down to overtime at Oracle Arena for the Clippers to beat the Dubs, 123-119, so now the Dubs will be part of the play-in tourney on Tuesday, against the Memphis Grizzlies.

What a game at Oracle Arena! In the first half, the Dubs lead by 20, led by Jimmy Butler, but a terrible third quarter had us fans thinking that another loss in the play-in would continue the play-in losing streak. Steph Curry had other ideas though, nailing three 3-pointer s in the last few minutes, and causing the Grizzlies to commit a 5-second violation at the end of the game to seal the win. The #7th seeded Dubs head to Houston on Sunday to play the Rockets for two games ther before they head back home for playoff game #3 at Oracle.

Thanks to Bleacher Report, I'm posting a video of the nail-biting last four minutes of the game. At the 3:28 moment, Curry (in white, wearing #30), absolutely embarrasses the Memphis defender on netting a 3 pointer! I have watched this moment several times! Near the end of the video, Curry as defender engages in jumping jacks to prevent the Memphis player from inbounding the ball, causing the 5-second violation turnover! Total GOAT mode night for Steph!

San Francisco Giants: Off to the Big Apple they went, and the bats were clicking, and the pitching stellar, as the Giants won the opener against the Yankees,9-1 in a rain (it was COMING DOWN) shortened game that was called after six innings. You get past five innings, and it counts as an official game. Saturday the Yanks struck back and won, but on Sunday, Jung Hoo-Lee, who homered in his first visit to Yankee Stadium in the first game, blasted TWO homers in the final game, which the Giants won, 5-4! Off to Philly they go, sporting an impressive 11-4 record! They split the four game series, 2-2. Off to Anaheim to play the Angels in Anaheim to wrap up the road trip!

Going, going gone! Three times for Jung Hoo-Lee against the Yankees in New York!

TV show review! Black Mirror, the "when tech can go bad" series that I LOVE, released its 7th season last week, and of course we binge-watched all six episodes! I'm going to give a brief synopsis of each episode, and then my short teaser review!

Common People: When a medical emergency puts schoolteacher Amanda's life at risk, her desperate husband Mike connects her with Rivermind, a neuroscience company that will keep her alive (with consequences, of course).

My review: Easily the bleakest of the new batch of episodes. my teasers would be to be aware of those upgrades to a better plan, and stay within your designated roaming area! Tracee Ellis-Ross is perfect as the tech sales rep, so chipper in selling her corporate tech to us common people.

Bette Noire: Confectionery whizz kid Maria is unsettled when her former schoolmate Verity joins a focus group for one of her creations. There's just something... off about Verity, but Maria seems to be the only one to notice. My review: A bit baffling at first, but when reality literally changes....a high tech version of gaslighting with a wild ending!

Hotel Reverie: An unusually immersive remake of a vintage British film transports Hollywood star Brandy Friday into another dimension, where going off script could leave her stuck in the alternate reality for good. My review: Good synopsis as it's pretty accurate about the basics of the episode. Awkwafina is the character with the tech, Issa Rae is the Hollywood star who immerses herself in the tech, and Emma Corrin is the star of Hotel Reverie, the black and white oldies film, that Issa's character gets transported into. I can say here this was BY FAR, our favorite episode, as we were riveted until the final scenes. It's just lovely, which Black Mirror rarely does!

Plaything: A tech-savvy social outcast (and murder suspect) is linked to an unusual '90s video game populated by cute, evolving artificial lifeforms.

My review: Aww, those lil artificial lifeforms on my computer screen are so cute! Surely they don't have any nefarious intentions, asking our lead character to keep upgrading the tech for...for.....

Eulogy: Following the death of his former lover, a lonely man encounters a new technology that transports people into old photographs for the purpose of crafting a eulogy.

My review: Synopsis is spot on. This was actually a very beautiful episode upon reflection. Paul Giamatti may very well get some acting nominations for this role.

USS Callister: Into Infinity: Robert Daly is dead, but now the crew of the USS Callister — led by Capt. Nanette Cole — are fighting for their lives in an infinite gaming realm against millions of hostile players.

My review: First off, this is a sequel to USS Callister, which has a very Star Trek vibe, so see that first. The synopsis already give away one plot point already, the co-creator of this video game is dead....in the real world. The clones that Daly created using DNA from his co-workers are fighting to survive in the video game, and since they are clones and not player avatars, they bleed and die. Once certain people in the real world discover what's going on, different agendas are pushed forward with regard to our clones. And that is where I'm going to leave my explaining of the plot! I was kinda liking it until agendas and secrets were revealed, then I REALLY liked it! The ending is a kicker that begs for another sequel! Floppy disks, indeed!

Season 7 promo for Black Mirror, now showing on Netflix:

Odd News: the Fish Doorbell is back! Yea, I was not aware of this either, but it has taken hold on social media, and John Oliver explains it in his special way, for those horny fish to get busy, with the public's help. Leave it to the Dutch to solve the frisky fish problem!

Elmo Diss Track: This here blog is a reprieve from the political news that's bombarding us on a daily basis, but every now and then...when ELMO is involved...l'm going to guess a few of you are going to play this back a few times as I have! Very catchy! Bravo to the folks at "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" for creating this ditty!

Have a wonderful Easter weekend, or just a wonderful weekend! I've figured out where the comments section is, if you would like to comment! You just need to scroll down a bit further to post your thoughts! (took me 15 minutes to figure this out...I was Elmo-pissed!)

Rory’s achievement is “lifetime” as opposed to a Grand Slam in tennis which is all 4 majors ( US, French, Wimbledon, and Australian) done in the same 1 year
