Good Day, gentle readers! This Grab Bag is gonna be a quickie-basically to catch ya up on what you might have missed! March Madness: I like a lot of you don't have a full grasp of college basketball, but this tourney for the NCAA College Basketball Championship is the buzz at the moment. With 68 teams playing to reach the final two, there are chances for upsets galore. As I type this on Friday, the favorites that have already been bounced are: Memphis, Missouri, and Clemson in the men's tourney. The women's tourney just started, and as I mentioned before, I chose Duke and Michigan State as the final two. For the ladies, i'm choosing UConn and USC for the final two. We shall see if it holds, or upsets bust the brackets! Late score: local college St. Mary's moves on after beating Vanderbilt men's team!

Golden State Warriors: Golden State heads off for a seven game road trip after a VERY successful 6-1 home-stand! Jimmy Butler has made a huge difference since joining the team three weeks ago, as the Dubs have only lost three games since he was traded to the Dubs from Miami, which is one of the teams the Warriors play on this long road trip- wonder what kind of welcome Butler will get from the Miami Heat fans?

While Golden State won Thursday's game against the Toronto Raptors (lots of Canadien signs in the stands!), the team and fans got a mighty scare when their star player, Steph Curry, took a HARD fall on a rebound, landing squarely on his tail-bone- the players said they heard the sound of his fall! Curry left the game, as the rest of the Warriors stepped up to secure a hard fought win, with Butler, Draymond Green (leading the scoring!!), Podz and Quentin Post put in the extra effort to secure the victory and help Golden State hold on to that precious 6th place in the playoff seeding! Good news came this morning, as Curry's MRI showed no structural damage; he will not play in Atlanta Saturday night, but will join the team in Florida next week! Whew!

SF 49ers: Well, since I last posted, things have gone in reverse! The Niners traded running back Jordan Mason to the Denver Broncos (that team is looking good for 2025!), while Kyle "Juice"Juszczyk shopped around and decided he wanted to stay with the Niners, for a two- year, 8.4 million dollar contract! 49er fans are happy about that move!

Tennis: It was a good weekend for the Brits a couple of weekends ago, with Lando Norris winning the Formula One GP in Australia (you can read about that bonkers race in the Zoom Zoom post), and Brit tennis player Jack Draper winning the Indian Wells (near Palm Springs) ATP tourney, Draper's first ATP Masters win, which has also propelled him into the ATP top ten for the time being! He beat Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals, so Jack had a great run to the trophy!

SF Giants: Spring Training is almost over, and things are going very well so far with the team. (I'll explain why I'm being a bit vague about the team when the 2025 season gets underway in a couple of weeks! Weird News: Evolution? The robots have now learned how to breakdance! Read about it in the link below! https://globalnews.ca/news/11090427/boston-dynamics-atlas-robot-breakdancing-cartwheels-movement-video/

Told ya this was going to be a quickie! Enjoy the weekend! I will be anxiously awaiting delivery of what is sure to be a collectable item (for ALL the wrong reasons!) which i will not only write about, but will model this item in the next Grab Bag!
