San Francisco Giants starter throws no-hitter!

Breaking News- Pardon the interruption of Summer Olympics coverage, but San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Blake Snell has thrown a complete game no-hitter, as the Giants beat the Cincinnati Reds, 3-0. This is after Snell threw for a record 15 strikeouts in his last outing ( but didnt get the win!). Blake's line: 9 innings, 0/zero hits, 11 strikeouts, 3 walks, 114 pitches. Blake has not gone more than 7 2/3rd innings in his career, and the last time two Giants starters Logan Webb on Wednesday ( in the quickest game of the season 1 hour 56 minutes , 1-0 win) have thrown back to back complete games; that has not been achieved by Giants starters (Livan Hernandez, Jason Schmidt) since 2002! It is the 18th Giants no hitter in their history, 10 of them in San Francisco.

The offense was provided by home runs from Casey Schmitt and Tyler Fitzgerald ( who is having a yeas since being inserted as a regular in the Giants line up).

I will update this post later as I get the post game interviews and highlights from online, so keep an eye out for that, Giants fans!
